Unhappy hot air

1987 carrera,
The passenger side window air vents suddenly blowing hot air...I did not touch the levers in-between the seats...Idid not activate the heater dial between the seats...any thoughts? suggestions?

the valve at/by the heat exchanger that brings heat into to the cabin can become corroded/stuck and cause this problem, even if the heat levers are off -- find it and, if sticky, lubricate so it closes easily and you should be all set.

+1, flapper box under the car may be stuck open. Lube and work it make sure it looks like the driver side when you are done.

There are two of those, a hose attaches them to the two heat exchangers. They are next to the gear box. It is Pelican part # 911-211-013-00-M260

I don't know about the later cars, but on my '70T, the 'doors' had plastic bushings in them that had worn out causing the problem you have.. Of course they aren't serviceable, but I took the heat doors off, carefully took them apart and had a buddy of mine make new ones out of aluminum.. Put them back together and they worked fine.. Plus a saved $$$..
Hopefully lubing them will fix your problem!!
