Yes you are crazy. Embrace it, we all are around here, some just choose to accept it.

Without verifing numbers, and top of my head, a 3.2 has around 13lbs per hp. Your m3 is more like 9:1. No comparison, but the 911 will be more engaging. My mild hot rod 3.2 to 3.4 will have a 9.5:1 power to weight, possibly slightly better. The 3.6 sc guys are around 8:1. A nisssn gtr is 7 or 7.5:1.

Old cars are always a work in progress, especially if you drive them. Depends on your ocd level also.
