I used North Hollywood also. Great service, not cheap but well done!

North Hollywood without a doubt. I had mine fixed, hooked the wires up wrong and burned it, sent it back, and they fixed it like new again for a very low additional charge. And they even laughed at my incompetence and sent me a wiring diagram. I love these folks.

Another option, still in CA, is Palo Alto Speedometer in Palo Alto. Great guys and great work. Speak with Hartmut.

+1 NHS - did both my tach and speedo on two different occasions. Was about 1 week turnaround on both. After calibration, speedo reads within about 1 mph of any reference points I can compare against. While they had them, had them clean and put new bezels on both. Perfect.

Have you asked any local Porsche mechanics about it? I thought I was going to send mine off, but my Porsche mechanic mentioned he does them all the time. He replaced some gears in it and such, he talked like it was no big deal. Works great now and didn't cost much.
