Window Frame Assembly Replacement 67 to 68 912

Does anyone know whether the complete front window frame assembly from a '68 912 is exactly the same as a '67 912's front window frame assembly? I know the door handles are different on the '67 (they are rounder) vs. the '68 (which are squarer) so I'm concerned that the window frame assy is also different.

This is a qualitative and subjective question I realize, but how big of a job is it to mount a complete window frame onto (or really "into") a '67 912 door? Mine was mangled and removed before I bought the car and I am in possession of a '68 912 window frame I'd like to replace it with.

Thanks for any help!

The 68 frames are anodized aluminum and the 65 thru 66 frames are chrome plated brass, they look different due to the finish differences. I installed the 68 frames into my 67 to reduce weight a little bit, they are a even swap as far as bolt-up.

Thanks Paul. How much work was involved with bolting them on? Was it straightforward and easy or more complex requiring finesse and skill (or experience)?
