I have made many updates and investments

Boy, I haven't laughed that hard in ages! I wonder what his payback is going to be on those investments?

The fact that there are 13 bids is the funniest part! That's just sad....

This investment is on par with Nasdaq's performance over the last 2 years.

Porsche Crest A reserve price? That's chutzpah.

"There are very, very few cars in the United states like it"

Yes, and that's a GOOD THING.

That tag line ought to be used, absolutely seething irony, on many of the eBay gems featured on this board.

there is one the golf course I go to

it is an '81 or '82...it has the 85mph speedo...

haha 959 with a 85mph speedo what a combo

BTW did anyone see the 959 Owner's manual on ebay...it was at 150.00 last I check...thought that would be a cool addition to any porsche collection...

SCWDP car in wolfs clothing

I have to agree with Wayne; from the pictures anyway, it looks like a good *fake*....but unfortunately *just* a fake.

Whoever buys this will *not* need the 956 Owners Manual, but a SCWDP window sticker is correct considering what's underneath the skin.

I've seen better 959 replicas. The ultimate replica must be a red 911 Turbo in Sweden which has been rebuilt with genuine 959 fenders, lamps etc. From the outside only the wheels tell that it's not the real thing.

Looks pretty real to me. If it pulled up behind me, I'd be pretty goggle-eyed.

Oh great, we'll be hearing from the M3, WRX, Supra, Vette, and gasp...Rice crowd, how they roasted Porsche's king 959 Hell I bet Kurt B would make short work of that thing.

Fake 959 !

The rear is reasonably accurate but the front bumper is a clear give-away that it's not real (as well as the wheels). Those holes in the front bumper are atrocious and the headlights are ugly too!

Definitely an amateur attempt at reproduction.

If I were Porsche I'd be pissed that anyone would try to replicate my masterpiece of engineering with such a poor effort!

I thought the fenders looked too narrow compared to a real 959 - giving it kind of a wimpy look.

So it's not a real 959. What about all those "turbo-look" cars out there--are they "real" turbos?. What about RUFs and Gemballas?. It appears to be a pretty well done replica. It's a lot better looking than a lot of the race cars (and even some road cars) we see with huge spoilers and wings, e.g. that bikerack/wing on the GTR 750. I wouldn't pay 60 grand for it, but somebody could wind up with a nice car at a decent price if the reserve isn't too high.
