Ignition switch compatibility challenge - 83 SC Project
Hey, if you are reading this, I am already grateful for your interest to help.
I have a 83 SC that I bought as a project. It was missing the ignition switch, along with countless other parts. The switch that I sourced does not appear to match up. The first picture is what the car has. The following pictures are from the switch pieces I have. They don't match. Do I need a different switch or is there something that goes in between these two? Thanks in advance for any and all help. J ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by josborn10; 09-02-2015 at 08:38 PM.. |

Could you post the number on the ignitin switch? The number should look like 911.613.001.xxx.

Correct replacement parts.........
The 2nd. and 3rd. pictures clearly show that you got the wrong part for the electrical tumbler. Take a look at 964-613-012-00, this is the new replacement parts for 911 ignition switch (superseded). And how the complete assembly looks like (964-347-917-01).

That's a really hard to find early switch. Someone would love to have that.
