aNYONE of you running with fiberglass doors?

Looking for feedback on 911R style fiberglass doors. Do any of you guys have these on your car? Does this cause the car to be more flexible, ie does the car loose some of its structural rigidity?

Thanks.

I don't, and wouldn't consider it without a full roll cage with side bars.

I have never seen an original 911R that had a full cage in it

Garage
there has been a thread on this before, i think.
Fiberglass doors are a cool item if you want to lose weight. However the down sides are 1) increased risk of side impact injury (hence the comment above of needing a cage) 2) increased wind noise- these doors are just too flexible 3) considerable time in fitting, adjusting, making them fit as best as possible 4) leak water into the interior (unless you go to the extra expense of the 935 style side slider windows and seal everything)
They do not lessen the flex of the chassis to any great extent.

We have seen production 911s that have suffered side impacts, both early non side bar and later 73 up side impact bar equipped. It is amazing how much those 17 lbs of "I beam" help in an accident! They work

Anyway,it's a free country, and the risk is yours
