Close up pics of S-bumper with factory fogs

well the targa is gonna get a FG S-front spoiler

I plan to put a pair of NOS Hella fogs...I assume there were no cutouts on the spoiler itself? I won't be putting on the fogs immediately...getting it rolling is priority 1

anyone have pics of brackets? Should I have my paint/body guy prep the spoiler for any future installation of fogs?

thanks

MJ

Hmmm......dunno if I've ever seen below the bumper fogs on an S bumper. Square fogs don't look right on an early car anyway, IMHO.

I did cut-outs on mine that were close to the locations of fogs.

The under-bumper lights with S spoilers from the factory were all round as far as I know. Here's a photo:

Cool

been giving this subject some thought for awhile. did a big road gator 2X and need a bra for decency till I catch up.. anyway, one of my bright ideas awhile ago was to do the headlite/relay act w/ both filiments on at the same time.. fantastic road lighting having high and low on at the same time with 130/100w.. beam pattern is in two directions/fantastic.. but the bright idea melted the bulb ground in about 1/2hr, having both filiments on.. so I'm not that fogged out. will do a low beam at 130w in the fog frame w/clear lens somehow, I think...Trivia................Ron

From my understanding, Curt's photo from the Carrera RS book is the factory location for factory fog lights when driving lights were mounted through the grille. Otherwise, the round fog lights for the 2.4 and RS cars were normally mounted through the grille. The holes exist on these bumpers for the fog light bracket which can be easily replicated. The fog lights were round when a S or RS bumper was used in '72-73.

well if I do do under bumpers it will be the yellow lens rectangle hellas

the grill lights will def be the rounds

I've seen E and T with the rectangle cutouts for hellas

I don't know what the S looked like (the S-spoiler)

I've never seen RS with fogs until the pic above

and I've seen S-spoilers with cutouts like JackO's on ST's but they always seemed to be for brake cooling not fogs...

hmmmm

so if I do decide to put the small rect hellas do I HAVE to have cutouts? my SC has fogs without cutouts...just seeing if I have to plan ahead
