Porsche Crest refurbishong 84 to 89 911 steering wheels

Is it done? I have done a search and i am not satisfied. i found the one new steering wheel on ebay for a handsome ransom. does anyone know of anybody who restitches wheels close to original. or ...really not liking the aftermarket. I tend to be a hardcore stock guy. Any help would be appreciated.

I just had Dallas Customs do the steering wheel in my original '71 914-6. They double wrapped the rim and single wrapped the spokes. Look terrific. Turn-around time was about 1 week and cost $449.

I'll also vouch for Dallas, great work and quick turnaround. Stitched my own cover on once and can tell you that it is worth every penny to have it done professionally.

+1 for Dallas Steering Wheel - superior craftsmanship!

Love the ride. Only one thing left to do that I can see... Lower to euro spec ride height

its a sunroof delete . which I really like for some reason. having a hard time changing anything because it has had nothing done to it. bone stock. basically.

No sunroof! NICE! Love that. My unicorn would be a grey no sunroof G50 M491 Coupe.

Anyway, back on topic...

Any other recommendations for people that recover / restitch these steering wheels? What about AGLA?

Thanks!

Another vote for Dallas Steering wheels. He re-did my steering wheel and it was just like it should be, perfect. He is amazing on the color match.

They redid the steering wheel on my 280z over the winter. Great work & 2 week turnaround.

Are you satisfied with the quality of the leather kit? Where did you purchased it from? I got a few of steering wheels needing rehab. Anyone have information for good leather kit sources? Thanks.

I have a 85 Carrera Iris Blue with Blue interior. I got a samples from AGLA in Blue. One is too dark which I believe is Marine Blue the other is Cobalt which is too purple. I think in 85 it was Navy Blue. So if your car is later in Darker Marine ALGA has the color.

I have just replaced the stock steering wheel (black) on my '88 Carrera with a Momo Prototipo which I prefer. 70k miles on the car which has been well cared for. Wheel is in very good condition, no scuffs etc. Kind of heavy so shipping (probably FedEx) might run $40. $140 including shipping. PM or email me if interested.
