I like the width if that wheel but strongly dislike the condition of the tire's sidewall..

Surprisingly it works very well. Zero damage to the rims! The small footprint of the jack slips under the lip. My centers are at the Powder coaters and I needed to get the lips to the polishers. The tires are over 17 years old.

Great use of resources, got the job done without drama. Creative thinking is the best.

Probably just lift 1/2 of the multi piece rim off. Which would be very hard if the tire bead was still on it.

This is a trick my father showed me in the early fifties. He learned it from my gramps in the thirties.
18" curved and straight Michlein tire irons are handy for popping the tire off. No-Mar makes some irons with plastic faces for our fancy alloy rims.

These are 3 piece BBS. No utensils needed(spoons, forks etc.)

The tire shown is actually a cut away of another tire sitting on top of a whole tire. Really no drama in doing this. Tires were on this car when I picked it up a couple of months ago. Vintage BBS has no inner channel for tire installers to pull off old tire. So the reason for needing to do this.

And thanks Jesse
