Help!! 3.2 Carrera. What is this hose and where does it go?

Can anyone tell me what this hose is and where the heck it goes? It's on a 3.2 Carrera (DME). This hose is rubber with a cloth type braid over the rubber. It comes out the rear of the throttle body area, and as you can see, I pulled it forward and it is just hanging loose. The attachment to the rear of the throttle body area (other end which you can't see) is nice and tight. But I can't find where this loose end should go. It must attach to something back there behind the intake manifold.

The second pic shows that one end is going into the back of the throttle body. Any help would be appreciated!!

Is this a vacuum hose? being loose, it would be a source of unmetered air into the intake manifold, and be a real problem, right?

Guys,
Thanks very much for helping. Still trying to figure this out. Definitely not cruise control - car does not have that. I'm also beginning to think it is not a vacuum hose per se. Those seem to be plastic while this hose is rubber with a braided cover. Seems more like a fuel evaporative system hose or something like that. It's over 2 feet long.

Bruce - can you tell me what you mean by vacuum pod? Would a picture of that be in Bentley? This pic shows my mystery hose going into the throttle body area. It's the braided looking one with that blue on it.
