Oil leak advice please. 911

Hasn't run for 20 years. Been giving it a birthday for last two years.
68 911 with a 67S engine.
I did valve covers. Oil cooler. Thermostat. Front and rear seals. Oil lines etc.
It runs really well and have put it over the pits for rego. It failed on seat belts. Hand brake and a rear view mirror.
On a permit for the above I gave it a good run.
I have a leak running down on the front of the left lower valve cover. I'm guessing the rocker shaft or shafts.???
So what next ?
Engine out and rsr seals.
Engine in and tighten.
What would you advise ?
Keep in mind I just want a good runner and the engine is 53 year old.
To note it has later ( 71 or so ) cam boxes on it
Thanks Lyndon

Its definalty coming from above the lower valve cover. I can't believe. Two new valve covers gaskets could leak this much.

if your rocker shafts are loose or in the wrong place it will leak no matter how tight the covers are..

That valve cover is old magnesium very prone to warping. They leak a lot.

Ok its coming from the top valve cover area. The valve cover is sealing.
Can I do the rocker shafts with the engine in or do I take it out. ??
I've had it out but just did minimum sealing and work as I did not know if it even ran.
Are RSR seals the go or not.?

If it leaks from the top, your valve cover is no longer flat. Either goop it up with RTV, or buy new ones. I am a veteran of many leaky valve covers … they were all warped.

The top cover is sealing from what I can see. This makes me think its the rocker shafts. Its leaking quite bad. I just can't see how it could leak this bad.
But I'm no 911 expert.

If rsr seals are installed and it still leaks does this mean the cam tower is warped?

Ok. Left side . its coming from above. See pic.
Its a fair leak. I don't believe it's the top rocker cover. Its dry except this very small area

On the right side. Both valve cover gaskets are dry.
It looks like the cam box has a leak to the head ??
Is this common and can it be done without disturbing the cylinder head.
What I want to do is both cam boxes , cam orings. Gaskets on the chain covers and the rocker shafts.
Will the heads be ok or disturbed. ???
These are the only leaks I have and I need them gone. Now is a good time 😛

Lyndon. Good luck with the oil leak. I hope it's something minor and not too much of a tear down.

I had much the same pains with my imported car.

The seatbelts. If the compliance tag is missing there is not much you can do but go to a seatbelt changing place. If they are worn and a bit fluffy, you can go over them with a cigarette lighter and lose the fluff. then debate that they are not worn.

The rear view mirror. If the issue is it vibrates around and the view is therefore blurry try lowing you tyre pressure, or remove it, spirit clean the area, then araldite it back on.

Back in the motorcycling days we used to fix warped side covers by putting valve seating compound on a bit of flat glass like an old truck side window and work it around till it was flat. It would be nice f the oil leak issues were limited to something simple.

good luck as these compliancing people are arseholes.

have you removed the upper valve cover yet..and looked at the shafts?if they are leaking it will go trough the camshaft housing not through the gasket..

Show a picture of the upper valve cover where the leak is on the left side.
