83 SC won't start

My '83 911 SC hasn't been started in 16 months while undergoing a new paint job. I tried to start it today with not luck. Motor turns over but will not fire. Will start on starter fluid for a few seconds. I assume poor fuel delivery. Fuel pump working fine. Good fuel pressure at fuel filter. I disconnected the fuel delivery to the WUR and the car starts and runs well. Reconnect the WUR and no start. I have removed the WUR, cleaned it, cleaned the lines to and from and replaced the vacuum hose. Still no start. Please help. Car ran fine when I parked it. Even put fuel stabilizer in it.

You may have a return restriction to the fuel tank.

Andrew,

So what did you do with the disconnected fuel line to the WUR? You left it open or plugged it? And you ran the engine with a disconnected fuel pressure line? Hope you know what you are doing. Good luck.

Tony
