Water leaking into cabin?
I get some pretty intense fogging on my fuel gauge, and oil pressure gauge after a rain. Also, the other day, I noticed that my latch cable for fuel door was sticking. (pull it out to release the door, and it stays pulled out, have to push it back in to close latch).
I read through a bunch of old posts on here and I noticed that there's supposed to be a cap somewhere in the latch, area. The other day after the rain I stuck my hand back behind the gauges and didn't find any evidence of moisture. I've checked the trunk seals and inspected the windshield seals and all looks OK. I was wondering if it was possible the water was coming in through the fuel door and down the cable and maybe the fogging and sticking cable were related? |

It probably with windshield seal in the corners leaking. If let go, you will get rust in under the gasket and things can get ugly. Check out the lower corners and see if you have awater there or on the inside too.

thanks
Yes, I read that thread, but I haven't found a post that talks about how to properly remove and re-seal, I only saw the link for the rear windshield.
I just purchased the 101 projects, is it in there? Anyone have a link? How do I test to see if the seal is OK or check for moisture? I didn't find ANY when I looked last rainfall. |
