On my 70 vin # is 9110123423 and trans is 6109122. Manufactured May 70. Both original to car. Your numbers look like they fit for an earlier 70 build. 0 after 911 in vin # denotes 70 model year.
In order to determine if your engine/trans are original to the car would require obtaining a coa from pca. Never had a coa in my hands so I am not sure if that info is there. I know my engine/trans is original since I have owned the car since new. Somebody with all the reference books will chime in shortly.

It looks like its a 1970 US 911T sporto. engine. Sporto engines started with 6105001, yours being #883, up to 6107999. Your chassis/VIN is # 243 is a porsche(not Karmann) built 1970 911T chassis. Difficult to tell. You probably need a COA.

I disagree John, that engine # looks to be a 911/07 for 911T North America.
I believe it could be original based on my scant data, but you would need the COA to be certain. The 911/08 for 911T North America Sporto was in the range 6108001 to 6108374

DJPateman, if you look at the elferhelfer.com site it lists his engine here:
911 T Coupe SpUS 911/08 125/5800 177/4200 siehe FGN T-Coupe 6105001-6107999 s.o. US-Sportomatik 6105xxx as a US-sporto. Please explain, I might be overlooking something. John

Wolf... u can call Porsche North America. 800-767-7243... I believe #2 or 3 will get you where u want to be. Provide the car's numbers and they can tell you in a few days (4 business days the last I checked) if the car-engine-gearbox is matching.

John, I know of that site, but they are often so wrong it is sad. I never go there, so I don't know if they have made any corrections. Here is the PET list:
![]() Even PET is incomplete, here is my list: ![]() Notice the TWO entries each for 911/03 & 911/07 since they guessed the splits wrong initially.
