squeal while rolling backwards
when I roll backwards out of my garage (downhill driveway) I get a squeal coming from the rear of the car. Happens at low speed, independent of clutch/tranny in or out or brakes on/off. Doesn't make the noise when rolling forward. What should I look at first, wheel bearing? Brake pad hanging?

BTDT - I'd expect you have a sticking piston.
On my 83, the PPI found the right rear rotor was dragging - ever so slightly. The mechanic recommended new pads/caliper rebuild - as the pads were worn down to about 3mm. A very short while after purchase, I started getting a squeal, only when backing down my sloped driveway. I ordered brake pads/caliper rebuild kits for all fours (from Pelican, of course). I noticed the right rear outside piston was rather stubborn upon removal, and had slight pitting/oxidation. After cleanup and rebuild, the squeal was gone.
