The gearbox vs single drive is a constant debate on the EV forums. Personally, i just like the idea of the car looking completely stock including the interior /gear lever. I am looking forward to repurposing the stock gauges. I will use the red heat lever to activate the main safety contactor for example. Love stuff like that.

I have first refusal on a 2000A (!) Zilla controller which will probably be what is in that 911 above. Also been offered an 11 inch drag racing motor. Must.....ressissst....temptation....

In its current configuration, my car has 42 x 160Ah batteries in series, around 144V , a 500A controller and a 9 inch motor. The range is 80 miles with 100mph top speed.
