Daaaaaaaaaamn Curt. That is a sort of 911ST evolution of the species. There are some pretty portly rear ends.

jeez Curt.............If I didn't know better I'd think you stole that first pic of the Gregg/Haywood 911 from my collection! I have a pic that is almost identical to that one......it was taken at the 72 Camel GT race at VIR......I'll have to look and see if I can find it to compare......

If my memory is correct, the Penske/Donahue cars are Carreras not ST's.
I love the pictures, especially the start of the 1968 Le Mans start with the Ferrari 275 LM, Gulf/Wyer GT40, the Alpine Renault, the 908LH, the Corvette, and the 911 (non-ST since the ST's didn't exist in the '60's). I wonder where they all are now! Thanks for sharing! - John PS: Here's a interesting page from Micheal Keyser about what it was like to race in that era.

That LeMans shot is great. Here's this relatively stock-appearing 911 right in the fight with all these full-on race cars! I like that shot of the Gregg/Haywood car too - I wonder what size rear wheels they were running? They look exceptionally wide for that vintage car. And no front flares at all. Not sure where I stole that photo from Rallyman?

There just can't be any greater car than the 911...I think Curt should supply these pics on a cd for us to use... of course it would be free to keep him out of trouble...

You know Curt, your collection must be emerging as one of the more significant libraries of early Porsche racing pics. Seems you have them nicely cataloged and captioned. Outstanding stuff.
Your pics add another dimension to this board - thanx!
