If they are going to be drag only rims get some 15x11 Fuchs and put slicks or some Mickey Thompsons on them, that way you get light, a true drag tire, and the shorter tire which decreases overall gear ratio. 15x11's aren't really good for anyone but track cars since there are no high perf sports car tires made for that size.

PS I think Steve Timmons the 3.6 conversion guy has weights on his website.

Hm, how about Volks? I know this is probably treason speaking that name on the Porsche board but those wheels are amazingly light. TE37s are around 14 lbs for 17". Some of thier other makes are even lighter.

Thanks 4 the Inf,

poorb0yw, how about Volks? who sells them ? do you have a web address 4 them?

I dont NEED PORSCHE WHEELS so anything else is fine with me even if they are made by Chakazulla.

Juan,
These are pricey but I would say are some of the lightest wheel made.. they are Nagnesium.. If I could afford them i'd already have a set. they should eliminate all the unsprung weight hahahah well close to atleast!

What about Forgeline: http://www.forgeline.com/menu.html

Made right here in the Buckeye State, oHIo.

Shame on you Eric, you should have mentioned our local wheel manufacturer! Just kidding!

juan- Volk racing rims are made by the RAYS Engineering group Here are a few places to check. They are used by a few of the F1 teams so quality is up there. Also from what I've seen they're top notch.

By Design Automotive Group
www.e-bydesign.com
Info line: 310-559-9670
Order line: 1-888-993-2911
They sell Volk rims in Porsche fitments.

RAYS Engineering site

If you have a carshop that caters to "rice" cars around your area I'm sure they could get you a set.

I'm going to have both of my (complete) sets of 2-piece Fuchs for sale, soon. 8x10x17 and 8x9x17. Since I'm moving to Turbo flares, I need different backspacing. But as they are, they are a good way to get the light weight of Fuchs and maximum rubber under stock RS/SC/Carrera flares.
