strange sound when turning
I've had this problem with my 997.1 and now my 991.1. when making tight turns in the cold morning, it makes a skipping/grinding sound. I called the dealer and they saids its a common problem due to tires skipping when cold, but harmless and cannot fix under warranty.
Anyone else experience this and can shed some light on this? |

No experience with either car however when i used to take my car out in sub 40 degree weather with my track wheels still on the tires would skip across the pavement when backing out of the driveway. The rubber compound of the track tires was rock hard at anything below 40 degrees.
Not sure what type of tire is on your 991 but if its a summer tire and it annoys you enough putting an all-season tire on may help.

Try putting the left front on the other side and vice versa and see if it still happens.
Skipping/grinding doesn't sound like a tire noise description to me.
