removing/replacing gauge needles
I'm replacing the faceplates on my gauges on my 930 back to their original color, which means I have to pull the needles off and then put them back on. I know the needles are press-fit on tiny shafts, but is it as simple as marking where the needles are, pull them off and them push them back on gently? Any recalibration or other tricks needed?

About that simple.
Be careful when removing the needles to not damage the shaft. A fork can work well to help exert pressure evenly. A little twist will help removal. Mark the resting location of the needles on the side of the gauge with a a small pencil mark for reinstall.
