Front Cooler Questions....
I am preparing to mount a front cooler in series with the Carrera cooler.
I am really dumb about these things so please take that into consideration! Question one: Does the inlet oil go in the bottom of the cooler and exit the top? (both inlet and exit ports are on the passenger side of the new cooler) Question two: Do I run the oil through the front cooler and then the Carrera cooler or vice/versa. Any help is ALWAYS appreciated!! Thanks, |

In the bottom, out the top. That helps air in the system find its way out.
When possible, put the most effective cooler first in the series.

Todd,
Your oil circuit will go: Motor-fender cooler-front cooler then back. Because it is a big system, make sure to have no restrictions. Consider -16 lines and fittings. I chose to use the Elephant racing "Widemouth" Carrera cooler (available at Pelican). This is plumbed in line with a 20" B&B front cooler. Do a search. There are TONS of great options. Jack Olsen runs two fender coolers. Others run a single nose cooler. Best system depends on how you will be driving your car. Traffic, track etc.

I have quite a few Structos in my collection, as well as some nice vintage Tonkas, including a 1959 one-year-only white fire truck set.
