Hi all,
I just called a guy who is selling a set of rims for a pretty cheap price. He says it's cookie cutters, 2 16X12s and 2 16X10s. The way he described it made it sound like Fuchs, especially when he mentioned it is rounded spokes that's painted black. Anyway, are those "real" sizes? They seem awfully big, and if they're real, must be worth a fortune. Any ideas if 16X12 and 16X10s Fuchs or Cookie cutters exist? He lives quite far from me, and I don't want to have to go down there for nothing if those rims don't exist. Thanks! ------------------ Jeff 1976 911S Coupe |

As far as I can understand Fuchs were made in 10x16 and 11x16, but not 12x16.

Jeff, ask him to email you some photos. You'll soon know if it's crock or not.

Porsche never made rims wider than 9 inches for the street in 16'' diameter (not counting the RSR/934 centerlock items).
These are probably 3 piece items with fuchs centers, or widened fuchs GeorgeK |

Thanks guys...I'll see if he can email pictures to me. But if it's 3 piece with Fuchs centers or widened Fuchs are they as valuable as the one piece factory forged ones? Thanks!

Jeff -
If the rims are 3 piece w/Fuch centers they should not go cheap. This is what I am running on the rear of my car, only 15". They weren't cheap by any stretch. One more caveat - tire sizes in 16" are extremely limited when you get beyond 265mm treadwidth. |
