Amazing build! I do have a question....were the RS cars devoid of the "PVC Body Seal" on the underside as the Carrera CS was? The CS left that off to save weight. Just curious if the RS cars were too, or why you chose to keep it.

Are using Fluid Film in there?

Hi Mathieu,

Thanks for the information about the pedal box. Can you give me some idea about the price for the parts? Is it a kit without the cilinders?
Good point that there is an issue with the ventilation box.

I believe you're right about the 2.7RS. As for this build, we thought a little protection on the underside would be useful for a marginal additional weight.

I am not familiar with this product. We used a diffuser to ensure the product was projected everywhere inside the cavities. In Europe we refer to this anti corrosion treatment as a "wax".

The oil tank has been refinished as well

The tank has been blasted and epoxied

New seal makes it difficult to squeeze it back in...

We've also opted for the nice Wevo engine supports

We eventually chose to mount an MSD6AL2 which provides the ability to map the curve / provide retard based on boost pressure.
Rennfrog did a great job backdating the unit to give it a Bosch CDI look!

Rennfrog has gone into great length to make it look factory - and even reused factory style connectors.

Also visible below is the retard feature - so useful with a turbo engine

It is phenomenal to see a completely-new 30-year-old car come together.

What are your goals for it once it is complete?

Can you share the epoxy paint brand used? I need to do the same. Thank you!

Oh momma! That's just sexxxy. Wow, wow, wow. I'd love to know that shiny clean beauty was under my floorboards, new bushings and all.

I put new brake and clutch pedal pads on mine this past weekend. Still counts! Right? ...Not really.

And this...

...this is just BRILLIANT and the kind of attention to detail that the truly sick amongst us can not only appreciate, but dream of. Kudos to you sir. The red MSD boxes always look so outta place in the engine compartment of a 911.

Ahhhh!! Thank you. I was afraid to take the tank to powder coating due to the horror stories of sand or stuff that makes it inside the tank...

I will do this one myself with some two-part epoxy paint... hope it last better than regular paint...

Thank you for documenting and sharing your amazing build.

Hi everyone, time to resume the journey;-)
Let's start by a flash back : we've retrofitted the pop out rear quarter windows. I've always liked them a lot and they are all the more useful on a car without AC :-)

The procedure has been described in details in other threads, so a few pics will be more telling...
