Which sway bars should I... 85 targa
Hi Gang
So my 85 targa has Bilstein Sport rears and HD fronts in it and 21/27 torsions being put in. While the torsions are being done should I... A) leave stock sways B) do upgraded (86-89) 22/21 sways C) do the adjustable 22mm -- like Tarretts -- front and rear? I drive the car long distances, city, a few AX weekends and about 10-15 track days a year. Thanks! Last edited by shaunmbenson; 01-17-2016 at 03:11 PM.. |

I started with choice B, the larger g50 bars with fresh bushings at the outset. once you go to adjustable, especially in the rear if you are tracking the car with grippy tires you need to consider the mounts and will they tear off.. also, at least with smartbars, and likely anything tarret offers will not have the rubber bushings and can effect cabin noise & vibration... if you were to do a single adjustable sway id start with the front.

Thanks car 311
I like option B myself -- while I'm tightening the car I'm also keeping her relatively stock so.... |
