package tray fit question

Need help.
Have 83 and trying to install package tray that I bought but does not seem to fit .....
Can anyone give me definitive answer as to which years are the same ....This could be a bit later.....It is about 1 1/2 inches thick at rear edge. It is a coupe.
Thanks

Targa, or coupe? That looks like a coupe panel.

My 83 had approx 1 inch foam spaces on the underside. It looked like their function was to create a gap for the speakers and press the shelf against the rear window. Your pic looks thicker to me. Your speaker holes also look bigger. Maybe a pic of the underside would help but it may be wider to make room for deeper speakers???
