Ask a question...

Dear Mr. Donkin,

Thank you for your e-mail and interest in Griot's Garage. This is an interesting question that you have posed to me so I've gone straight to the big wigs for an answer. What I have found out is that the mechanical fuel injection that was in the car from the factory was removed at one time. In its place carburetors were installed to regulate the fuel and air mixture on Richard's 1972 911S. I hope this information will be helpful. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call our Customer Service Department at (800) 345-5789 6am - 8pm M-F and 7am - 3:30pm Saturday PST. Thanks again for your e-mail and have a great day!

Have fun in your garage!

Question:Sirs: Did Richard Griot write the ad copy on this item? "....I imagine myself changing the jets on my old 1972 911S." You see, I too have a 1972 911S. I've searched high & low, and I can't find a carb jet on it anywhere! (Sorry, couldn't resist! ;) The 1972 911S came with Bosch Mechanical Fuel Injection...
