Non-resistor rotor part number?

After my upgrade to a MSD Streetfire ignition I'm in need of a non-resistor rotor. I called our host and they had no idea what I was talking about. Does anyone have the PP part #?
My local Napa is trying to source a EP407 rotor with no luck. Thanks!

Try Hawaii Import Parts, go there and ask them to see their selection of rotors, you will find one that works.

I tried them first. They also had no idea what I was talking about. Air Cooled Specialists had never heard of them either..

I'm on their site now and it looks like they are out of stock.

Echlin EB 407....just got one the other day at NAPA...btw, the pic shown in their online cat shows a resistor plug (generic photo) but the proper one did show up.

Napa online won't ship to Hawaii. I have a local Napa trying to source one but has not called me back so I'm guessing they gave up.

If they can't get it shoot me a pm and I'll buy/ship what you need.

I'm going to take my current rotor to the parts house to see what they can match it to that is a non-resistor rotor.

Take your rotor inside and show it to them, don't tell them it's for a 911.

Or, I have an extra you can use until you find one.

Man shady for sure. Never thought it would be this hard to get the correct parts for my car..

:) The problem is you aren't fitting a standard part:)

sc_rufctr 01-27-2016 02:29 AM

I made my own from a stock SC rotor. Dig out the resin and resistor and solder a copper wire across and you're good to go.
If it makes you feel better you can cover the "repair" with some two part epoxy. I used POR Patch on mine.

It isn't the correct part for your car, you are trying to find a non stock part that does something different than the stock part.
The rotor you are looking for was never intended to be used on any 911 for any purpose.

hawaii83cab 01-28-2016 12:45 AM

I took the rotor into Hawaii Import Parts today to have them match it up and they had ZERO idea what I was talking about and nothing that would work. All 5 guys working had never heard of a of a non-resistor rotor.
