Paint scheme suggestions
Howdy all,
I've been kicking around the idea of having my 90 964 c2 painted. It probably won't happen until next winter, but I'm starting my research now. The car is grand prix white with big red calipers. After seeing the latest 991 R, I was thinking when I get my car resprayed, I might add some stripes similar to the R. For those of you who haven't seen the new R https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRxbgACxlec However, I'm not a graphic artist, and I'm not familiar with photoshop. Are there any photoshop pros out there that might want to have some fun putting stripes on a 964? It would be purely an exercise of creativity. BTW, for years I thought about adding flat-white double stripes down the center of the car after seeing the original Cayman S Design Edition 1 which used flat black stripes on a black car. I wonder if the artist that takes up this challenge might be able to create an image that mimics the Cayman SDE while using a white 964? Have fun. I wish I had the skill to produce my own paint scheme using photoshop. HB

Something to consider: Get the car sprayed a solid color and then (after the paint is fully cured) apply stripes with vinyl wrap material. If you don't like it, you can peel 'em off...

Plus 1 on this ^^^
My suggestion is to contact Pawel at http://www.carbone.pl (he is "noboco" in these forums) and have him design and print the liveries for your car. You just send him pictures of your car and tell him about your idea of resembling the new 911R and he will render your pictures with the design. Once you are happy with how they look, he'll make them and ship them to you. In the event that you grow tired of this or want to sell your car as original you can always strip them off, in other words, you get the best of both worlds. Hope this helps. MD
