Where to locate heater blower wiring in engine bay?
83 SC, converted to a 964 12 years ago. Going to break down and install a heater blower. Where would I expect find it in the engine bay? Bentley says it's a white wire. Any clues to narrow my search down?
If I have to I can run another one from the cockpit lever but I'm an eternal optimist. ![]() |

The engine bay fuse panel per Bentley has a fuse for the blower. It is always on with the ignition despite the position of the heater handles next to the e-brake. The switch MAY be frozen open.

The rear engine blower motor connection wires on the engine harness are yellow/black and brown in a 2 pole T connector for '82.
Yellow/black wire is energized from the heater relay in the rear fuse panel to the 14 pin connector. Pin 13. Yellow wires at the heater levers or auto heat send the signal to the relay to operate the relay. Power to relay comes from rear fuse panel 3 fuse arrangement.
