3.2 starter gear ring fits to earlier 911?
Did search, did not come up with anything useful.
I would like to know whether 3.2 129teeth starter gear ring would fit to earlier 911 pressure plate that originally has 130teeth gear ring? Would I need different starter motor too if it fits? The reason I want to do this is that I intend to use the 129teeth gear ring with EFI (by adding a notch to the flywheel too and use two VR sensors), 130 teeth ring is not usable in 6cyl application (only 4cyl like 944 NA). I could machine 60-2 pattern to flywheel too but would rather keep as many original parts as possible. The easiest way would be just to put 36-1 onto crank pulley but since the engine will have retro-look (with twin-plug distributor and all) I would like to avoid such visible EFI stuff.. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The 3.2 has two different ring gears. The first was 1970 through 1986 then with the G50 a completely different ring gear, much like and possibly the same as the turbo.

Thanks for the reply.
I meant the first series with 915. It has 129 teeth but I have earlier 911 one (from 1978 iirc) that has 130. Hence the question. If it fits, I will make flywheel trigger system similar to 3.2 Carrera with two sensors (speed and ref).
