Tail Light Wiring Help

I am trying to figure out the wiring harness for my recently purchased tail light housings.
Attached is a photo of the harness. I have circled the wires in question. Do these go to the license plate lights? Any ideas?




I have most of the connector figured out as well except a couple of pins. Anyone know where they go?

The one you marked small wires is for the rear fog lamp wiring, or the oil level sender depending on what side off the car it is for.

The one with the question mark is for the running lamps.
One of the spade connectors on the wires in the bottom of the circle should have continuity to it.

The other wires in the circle that were folded and have no connectors are likely the rear fog lamp wires.
(If on the passenger side they are for the oil level sender.)

Thanks for information. Only one of the spade connectors has continuity to ground, the other is open. I guess I have to clean it better and check it again.

The light box pictured is the drivers side, the passenger side harness connector was cut off. Do you have any idea where I can get just the connector? I found the entire harness but the price is more than I paid for the light boxes.

The one spade connector that is open to ground should have continuity to the 6 pin connector marked with a ? mark in your drawing..
For the connector on the drivers side you could post a WTB ad in the classifieds, or send me the harness and have me cast a new one for it.

Here is a pair of front lighting harnesses I am in the process of building to give you an idea of what I mean by casting a new one. The female plug is brand new, cast by me in 80 shore rubber.

I just fixed my rear fog light (left only) on my Euro SC -81.
It works now but I am a bit confused on the ground circuit.
The fog light ground and the license plate light ground are joined at the round ground connector together with a brown wire from the body plug. There was a lot of corrosion so I had to re-crimp and solder the ground connector. But still there are 5 ohms between that ground point and the ground point behind the fuel filter.

So my question is. Does the ground from the tail light housing go to the body plug and turn there to go to the round ground connector or does it also continue to a pin on the 6 way body plug? According to the schematics I've seen the tail light should ground at G4 which is behind the fuel filter.

Dennis can you share the connections in the body plug please?
