Need for Aftermarket Electric Fans?

A PO, among many other, ahem, "modifications" added two aftermarket electric fans to the rear deck lid and wired them into the fuel relay. I don't even know if they work. I'm slowly trying to remove all the crap that this car had when I bought it and clean up all the extra wiring so would like to trash these.

Although I live in a warm climate, the car is now mainly a long-term project that doesn't get driven in heavy traffic and temps. here usually top out in the mid-90's, unlike the higher Summer temps in the Midwest. Regardless, any reason to think these are really necessary since the car didn't come from the factory with them? Thanks.

Jeff

Here's a pic. You can see the very professional wiring job that was done.

Might well depend on what engine performance enhancements have been added to the engine.

And then we have this:

Is there an AC condenser above the fans?

Joe Bob,

There was, but I've performed an A/C delete so it's been removed. Actually, thefans were between the grilles and the condensor.

Send a message via Skype™ to DRACO A5OG
Delete them, just dead weight and their are obstructing proper flow to your engine. No AC = No Need.

My 2 cents.
