Can someone decipher this tranny Code?

The Car is a 77 911, the trans needs work . Im trying to decipher the code :

915/044 716 0044

But from what I have read the number is either wrong or this is a wierd tranny. PLease help.

PLease help ?

915/44 716 0044: what do the 44 and the 0044 mean in the code? This transmission is odd, because it has the 915 code but has 930 axle stubs, it also had the LSD.

915/44 is the transaxle type - 1976 5-spd manual fitted to RoW and US 911S models. I imagine that at least part of the remaining numbers make up the sequence number. Don't know about the LSD.
