Plating reacting with brake fluid
Quick question:
After electroplating brake callipers, is there an issue with the plating reacting with the brake fluid in the bores. Cheers |

No. New Ate calipers from Porsche are plated. They're plated inside and out since the entire caliper halve(s) are dunked in the plating solution, then assembled after plating.

I have chromed pistons in my TR4 front calipers and they are fine.

About the only reaction you will get is if you let the fluid stay in the system too long without bleeding it. In truth that reaction is with the water in the system. So bleed the system regularly.
