Maybe they can cut a big hole in the first floor, and rip out some first floor ceiling to attach a chain hoist to the ceiling joists. Then they can raise it to the first floor. After that, they can repair the first floor's floor and ceiling. When they're done, they can report to the hospital to be brain donors, as they're not really in any need of theirs.
