Great day at WSIR yesterday!

Joined Kailo's Open track Racing at WSIR yesterday. Clear skys about 70 degrees. Perfect. It was the first 24 minutes of racing event. Several pro drivers showed, lots a fast Porsche's, Vipers and a race prep Ferrari.

The Ferrari looked like the favorite going into the race turning 1:24's (I heard) Unfortunatly the Ferrari lost the back end going comming out of 3 in the second or third lap and backed into the wall.

If you are looking for track time, I had a great time with Open Track racing and plan on attending more of the event. Good group of people and lots of track time. We need to get some of the older Porsches out there!

Here is a link to the pics of the day.

Cool!

I remember chasing that Ferrari, back in October:

Chasing the Ferrari. (Quicktime)

Chasing the Ferrari. (AVI)

Who won the race? It looks from the picture like Kailo came in second?

Open Track Racing is a pretty nice group of guys. I did their event in October and had a great time.

Paul,

Please don't tell me that the Ferrari that went into the wall in #3 is that 360 Challenge car. If so, MAJOR BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul looks like a great time. your car looks great.

Bummer about the Ferrari, I attended a POC racers clinic with the owner. He's a very nice guy.

oh well- as long as he is okay- that is most important. The car can always be replaced. And God blessed the owner, because he has a few more Challenge cars at his disposal. Still too bad the car got wasted

That video was great. All I could hear was the F-Car... at first I thought Jack's car sounded really cool

I got to check out a couple of them while I was in Switzerland this fall.

Two pro drivers one the race. I don't recall their names but it was the turbo 996 (450 hp) and the 993 race preped Mobil One car. They didn't accept the trophys so they passed down to the next in line. First and thrid place then went to 2 996's (again I don't recall their names), with Kailo taking 2nd in his BMW.

Thanks Mike, I still hear your voice in my head . . . it will hold, it will hold, and proceed with more gas. I think I was finally able to get 4 worked out.

The first two drivers were Kevin Rousch and Robert Dalyrymple. both fast club racers. The only "Pro" that was out there that I was aware of was Cort Wagner and he was instructing not racing. (Pro meaning racing for purse money, the others are all great club racers that are involved in POC, PCA, NASA, TCRA, SCCA...you can compete against them any time you are ready)
