Re ovins chrome
My Fuchs are chromed and I'd like to give them their original look back, polished with black center. Could somebody who has done it explain the process??
Thanks, Karl |

Likely polished not chromed. You need to send them to be blasted and anodized.

No, really chromed.. I thought some kind of acid solution could do the job, but frankly I do not know anything about these processes. I assume you suggest glass bead blasting, sand would most likely chew away at the material?

A chrome shop can do a reverse process to get the chrome, nickel and copper off. They don't look real nice after that and need to be totally redone again. Hopefully they are not full of pits like most chromed fuchs.
