CiIS Metal Airbox

The previous owner installed a metal airbox on my 77. I assume these can withstand all the CIS related backfires?
What vehicles did these metal air boxes come from?

The boxes are an aftermarket item but no longer made.

WEBB DESIGN is/was the builder.

Thanks. I'll look at mine again but it doesnt look like its stainless steel which Webbs is. Maybe mines just real dirty. None were made for OEM by Bosch?

I've seen photos of aluminum ones, I have no idea who made them. I think they even have a round built in pop off of some sort.

None of these were OEM or Bosch-built. As stated, Webb Design did some stainless versions. I've only seen the aluminum version once and have never found the manufacturer.

I'll post a pic when I'm back in town next week. Feel pretty lucky to have one since backfires can be common with CIS.

Aluminum for sure and not stainless steel. No markings or labels from what I can see. Wonder who made these?
