Best RS Door panels?

So I see RS door panels from $250 to $450... Has anyone done a compare or can anyone provide insight as to what the differences (besides price) exist?

Thanks!

I have the RS door panels from Rennspeed, which are the $250 option, and couldn't be happier with the lower cost product. The only complaint is that they don't provide instructions, so you have to figure out the installion on your own. But the lack of instructions certainly wasn't equal to the extra $200 for the same product that the $450 product provides.

Thanks Jeff!

So is the only difference is that they include directions? I was thinking there would be leather vs vinyl, the latch mechanism would be different etc.... no?

I like my appbiz set. I got the cover it yourself option which allowed me to match my (brown) leather. I added some foam to fill it out, and for sound deadening.

What are the cover it yourself options base material made from?

I would love to find a set of raw aluminum panels. Anyone make them? I swear I saw them somewhere...

It is some form of heavy card with a very thin foam layer on top. Not too different from OEM. I waterproofed it with a vapour barrier on one side, and a thin layer of closed cell foam on the other (to help with sound and water insulation). It will survive anything short of a swim now.

Remember, It is just a face to be mounted to the metal door structure, so no need to be super rigid (or heavy). I just see it as a vehicle to mount leather/vinyl/etc and keep things looking pretty, without getting heavy.
