Where can I find information about Porsche production cars in Martini Trim as I have a 'Martini Racing' Momo steering wheel. I have tried Porsche Club GB - still awaiting response ... does anyone have any knowledge or info they can share? I have looked in a few books in my posession but still a big fat blank !
I would also like to know if anyone else has one of these steering wheels????? Or seen one????

looks a lot like a RUF. theirs had RUF on the horn button and no stripes.

I seem to recall some type of 'Martini' edition 911 Turbo from 75/76 in one of my 'coffee table' picture books. I'll check when I get home from the office.

I found 2 sources. The first is one of those $5 coffee table books: The Classic Porsche by Mike McCarthy. Here's a photo:



He indicates this was a special "limited edition Martini colour scheme". An interior photo shows a normal steering wheel, however. Obviously, this is a later 930 with the intercooler.

The second source is Brooklands "Porsche Turbo Collection No. 1". They include a test report from Motor Sport magazine Feb. 1977 and show a similar looking car, but with non-intercooled tail. This also has a standard steering wheel. The article says this Martini-liveried car was the center-piece of the Porsche display atEarls Court Motor Show that year.

OK. Maybe this was a Euro thing, but wasn't there an SC Martini Edition in the early to mid '80s that had cosmetic changes only - like the above steering wheel - and stripes? Maybe this is the origin of the above wheel? The Martini 911 in the picture (in cegerer book) is an '81 - it's "X" reg which is '80 - '81 in the UK number plate system

I am in the U.K. so a euro edition would make sense !
Strange that the interior photos show a normal steering wheel though ...

I thought that wheel was made by MOMO and sold by them, not fitted by Porsche.
Maybe it's worth checking with a MOMO dealer?

According to "Original Porsche 911" by Peter Morgan, the Martini stripes could be ordered as a factory option (M42) on Grand Prix White SC's & Turbos. There were 200 '77 Turbos delivered with the Martini livery, half of which went to the US. There were no suspension or engine modidfications - it was purely a cosmetic exercise.
The steering wheel looks like the one that was fitted to the Martini-liveried Lancia Delta HF Turbo (pre-cursor to the Integrale) but I'm sure that Momo sold 'Martini' leather steering wheels as aftermarket fitments for any car.

I can secound andyjboy.

Had seen a similar wheel in a Integrale EVO II ( 16 V Turbo version ) but ìm not sure if it came standard with the car.
The Delta Turbo HF was afir a 84-85 version with Martini stripes on the lower Rocker panel, yet I drove one from them and can´t remeber the steering wheel. But a small wheel under turbopowered frontaxle needs muscles...

Porsche wheels have a datestamp from the inspection when they reached the factory warehouse. Depending on year in different versions and colors.

If you search in google for Lancia Martini Racing you will have some very interssting hours on the Computer with Stratos or 037,...

Guys, I know that I'm replying 13 years later, but I found something what is worth sharing!

That steering wheel is called just a "MOMO MARTINI RACING". One guy from England have one for 250 pounds.
