Fender Marker light / side turn signal Install
Does anyone have tips for successful install of these marker Lights? My wrench was trying to replace mine with new units I purchased from our host. There is a little plastic clip that holds them in place (can be pressed in slightly to insert). He broke both lights when trying to insert them, clip just broke off. He does not break parts - they are all plastic and not very robust ..
Any tips or tricks greatly appreciated.

see the small clip on the opposite side of the arrow mark you have in red? Place that into the small hole, and gently press the whole assembly in till the clip makes the little snap noise. Sometimes they do not, make sure it is attached and not coming off.
I have a set of clear ones if anyone needs. |

Thanks. I believe that's how he was doing it. Maybe a gentler approach is needed..

Solved
Problem solved. The factory part and the one I got here are different on the back where the connectors are. The factory one has a triangle shaped fixed connector where the other has a circular piece. The tab that bends is more robust on the factory part. They both look the same on the outside. The part that doesn't work has the Audi rings. So this is one of those cases where you really need the factory part. I'll post a photo when I get the parts back.

Here you can see the difference is the construction. The original (dirty one) has smaller, different shaped tabs. Sometimes the actual factory part is best ..
