"S"an"T"a came early
Santa came early in the form of the freight delivery truck. Supposed to be in by 5 pm and he knocked on the door at 4:57. What a wasted afternoon home from work waiting for the box. The box was HUGE but was filled with wonderful presents. I know have almost all the necessary body panels to finish the car.
The box contents were 1 front ST bumper and a pair of ST/RSR early fenders. Thanks to DART Auto and GT Racing for quick service. There will be more info when it comes time to fit them to the car. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The goal was to be out for paint by Christmas. That will not happen. Since I am garage-less there have been some weather delays.
I am almost done with all the rust/accident damage repairs. Then I will fit body panels and finish the paint prep. I still have to rebuild the suspension and prep the drivetrain for installation. I hope to do that while the car is out for paint. Should be late spring when I turn the key for the first time.

Wow! Those look great. Congrats. If one had a welder and an English wheel, those fenders would be a perfect model for creating custom steel extensions for regular 930 flares.
Hey....! (nice mockup with the H4, by the way)

Don't worry Dave, your fenders are on the list. I now have a good model to work with.
MikeZ - they are glass and incredibly lightweight. The whole package had a ship weight of 32 pounds. Thats two fenders, one bumper and a coffin sized cardboard box. Price: not cheap. Dart Auto sells GT Racing products for a discount over the catalog price. http://www.dartauto.com for details. Jim, I want to see the new car too. I will be out of town next week but back before New Years. Maybe we can get together.

One thing you might want to consider is adding steel buckets to the front fenders. I've heard about problems with the headlights not staying put very well in the fiberglass. The cheapest way I've found to do it is to get replacement buckets from Restoration Design. If you get the 74-later versions, they're only about $40 each, with the one condition that they don't have the fittings for the US-style headlamps. But if you're running the Euro style, they work fine.

Thanks Jack
The info on the buckets will help. I noticed the lights don't quite fit on the glass ones. I just did a quick fit and was not too pleased. I have not looked closely at the amount of work required to make it right. Jim, I admire that fact that you still refer to the new E as Lu's. I don't think that I would be so restrained. Jamie

Jamie, I can't pawn the 993 off on her so I'm stuck. My other option is to claim that they're both mine, but I've been married long enough to know better.
