spark plug for 911 3.0SC ROW
hi
new topic for a subject discussed plenty of times .... I agree, but I'de done some search and it's not quite easy for me to find an answer between US or ROW spec and past offer and present offer regarding the posts BPPR7ES seems the standard best solution it seems the BPR8ES is more for the 1980-1983 Euro spec regarding NGK answer, I find some posts were they gives the B9EVX ref (does not exist) now, on the NGK UK website, they only gives the B8EGV or BR8EIX (upgrade) ref no more copper ref so price is from 1 to 4 times the copper price to be honest, I can survive ... but I did not find any logical explanation or good reason to choose those ones apart of spending more with NGK choosing the BPR8ES for a Euro spec 3.0SC is ok ? thanks a lot for your help |

Bosch W 260 T 2 is what is in the RoW owners manual which equates to NGK BP9ES. I'm running this plug without issue.

That is a really cold plug, what compression are you running?
I've been using the BPR7EIX

Both Reiver and I are running 9.8/1. The RoW cars run one range cooler plug then US cars.

BPR8 are quite 'cold," I run those in a boosted 911, but BPR6 in the NA cars. Give more details about the car, as well as why you are changing? Oh, E3 and multi-platinum points are a waste.

send me your email in a private message and I'll send you the 81-83 ROW spec manual in PDF.
You can check for yourself what plugs you need....the NGK9's.....or equivalent to that heat range.

hi guys
get a discussion with a technician from NGK he confirms me I should use the BR8EIX plugs he confirms me due to different compression and fuel in US, plugs are different. for Europe, Porsche used to install platine plugs originaly. platine is not in use with NGK and they consider Iridium corresponds to the original platine plugs. that's the reason I cannot find copper plug for my car on NGK Europe website saying that, it does not mean copper plugs will not work. I just give you the explanation from the technician. he confirms me too the BR8EIX are "cold" enough just buy the plugs, I will see thanks for your answers |
