Project 50 Shades of Grey: Slantnose to Turbo Backdate

Its been a busy 18 months, but now that my project is nearly done, I figured I'd share some pics. The car was originally one of 395 75 Carreras, but had an accident in the late 80's and was converted to a slantnose by a dealership in San Diego. By the time I got the car it was in need of some TLC, and the bodywork was showing its age. With all 930 running gear and freshly built 3.4L K27, this car deserved to look as good as it drove, so it went under the knife. I did all the fabrication over the course of about 18 months, and the guys over at Washburns Autobody here in Vermont did an absolutely stellar job on the bodywork. After sampling many different colors of grey from Slate Grey to Stone Grey, even Aviator and Dolphin grey, we finally mixed up our own grey and nick named the project #Project50ShadesofGrey

Enjoy!

Wow! Awesome build! Kudos, looks like a tremendous amount of work, but impressive results. Congrats.

Love the project! Looks awesome and I fully appreciate the work you put in. My 84 is in for body and paint right now (windows out bare metal). Have to say I was glad when the fab work was done as it took too long chasing rust!

What's the story with the dog? I've got a Choc lab who may be heading to a scooter ... A little thread theft I know but dogs are important!

She likes turbos. J/k, that's my friends pup. She randomly became paralyzed on her back half so now she's on wheels, although amazingly she's just starting to regain movement of her back legs.

Hmmm - similar with mine - our 7 year old "total freak" who could do anything on 4 legs then all of a sudden came up lame - could barely stand up, sit down, or walked her back legs. Lots of vet visits, lots of Vet guessing, some medication experiments, no real answers....then we decided to stop all the meds and clean out her system - now she's walking again! Definitely has something wrong but she's got quality of life again. I always say there are two types of people in the world - Dog People and those that should be!

Now, back to your previously scheduled thread (sorry to the purists)

Got a shot of the exhaust system? Would like to see how you did the passenger's side tailpipe.
