Bumper Extension Support Removal
While I'm pulling my suspension apart and plating/painting everything I'd like to attack the bumper extension supports that are immediately behind the rear wheels. At the bottom ,the supports are attached to the extension with a nut and bolt. At the top they disappear into the engine compartment side rail so it's not easy yo see how they are attached. Are they screwed into a weld nut?
Thanks.

The rear bumper extensions are held at the top by 4-8MM screws the ones on the right hand side are a little tight due to the oil severve tank but you can get to them with a screwdriver handle with a 8MM socket. Look with a flashlight to locate the bolts.
Its very easy! Good luck.

Also, the rubber bellow is attached to the bumper extension will need to be removed as well. not the easiest job to do, but you'll manage. 8mm nuts/bolts, if I remember correctly.

I'm not looking to remove the extension, just the supports.
Anyone?
