*&%$#@ Connector revisited...

All right; here is my second try; with a photo you can actually make out. This is hanging in the tail of my '84 Cab; anybody have an idea as to what it is to?

Wonder if its a pigtail for a rear fog light? The older cars had the wiring in the back in this area even if the light was not ordered as an option.

Thanks Joe,
I bet that's what the freakin wire in the back of my car is...I do learn something every day.

HD,

Forget the exact sequence, but turn your fog light switch on in the interior by pulling it out and that is I believe supposed to turn the fronts on, then rotate it to the right and that turns the back on?

Could be the other way around as the switch will allow you to run with the rear light on and the fronts off but by hooking a volt meter or light up will show you right away. Your drivers manual will have the exact sequence on the switch.

If you get nothing when doing this then check the color coding and reply to the post and someone will figure it out!

It looks like the connector that goes into the heater fan in the engine compartment. Although the wires need to be much longer. If your fan is working, then maybe the connector goes some place else. My 84 cab never had that short stubby connector in the back

Joeaksa- Nope, switch does not rotate.

yelcab1- Good try, but heater fan is fine.

Thanks though, guys.

Any other thoughts?
