getting at master cylinder
Hello,
As my tech likes to say "Stand back! Scott's got a tool in his hand!" So I've got blue stains under my master cylinder housing. I'm pulling it up. I don't have a skinny enough wrench to fit on the right front nut as you look at the car from the front. Can I remove the larger side facing nut that's blocking my access? It's the one on the right of picture 2. Even more basic, if I pull this housing, will I be able to see the master cylinder? Thanks Scott I ain't so smart ![]()

Yes, you can and must to get to that nut.
Just take good notes on orientation.

That bolt screws into a support that connects to the pedal cluster so it's no issue to remove. If you have trouble screwing the bolt back in pop off that lower plastic cover and you can move that support with your finger if needed.

You also have to disconnect the brake pedal inside the car and there is a nut under the dash that has to come off before the MC can be removed

Scott a crows foot might get that nut off. Sounds like you have to remove the big nut to get the assembly out anyway.

i just helped by brother take his off. I have to laugh at this as I just replaced both the master cylinder and the booster in my s10 blazer.. I can say they need to shoot the guy that came up with the way it's installed. What a pain in the ASS>
