Best place to get 16x9 Fuchs

Hi. My car has the 7s and 8s. I was considering moving the 8s to the front and going 9s in the back. Where is the best place to find some 9s and what's a fair price to pay?

Edit: 16x9. I currently have the 16 inch 7 and 8

Unless you have 930 front fenders, 8" 911 offset wheels in front will probably present a problem.

16x9 Fuchs appear every now and then here in the Marketplace for around $2300. Apparently you can still buy them new from Porsche for top dollar. Or you could go the route many people including myself do and get Euromeister 16x9 Fuchs replicas for about $220 each from our host. BTW, there are VERY FEW high performance street tires still available in 245/45/16.

Since you live in Florida you might contact Alex Magro in Tampa at 813-4314542. His email is sales@magrowheels.com. He found a set of 15x6 for me and refinished them very nicely. The only relationship I have to him is being a one-time customer; just passing on what I know.

7s rub at least sometimes on the front of stock fendered 911s, there's no way 8s would fit.

People ask crazy prices for 9s. I'd try calling Sunset Porsche and see what their price is on new ones. Probably less than a lot of people are asking for used.

Def go suncoast for these if you're not looking for a date code specific wheel. Doesn't make sense to buy used when you can get new ones for the same price if not cheaper. I want 9s on mine and will probably go suncoast unless a killer deal comes up in the classifieds.

Hmm, thanks all, the sun coast guy seems like a good option.

The PCA guys seem to think the 8s and 9s will fit just fine in my stock car, but I'll ask before I make a change.

Appreciate all the input.

The 8s that fit the front have a 951 part number and cosmetically look like 7s with enlarged lug holes (the 911 part number 9s have the same lug hole look).

Last I checked, 16x9 are out of stock with no date on any additional runs
If you really want them, best to simply step up and pay the piper.

Maybe manufacturers have woken up, it seems like there's a few more 245/45 16 options on my latest Tirerack search. Pirelli PZero Trofeos, the Toyo Proxes and R888 along with the old standby Potenza RE 11's.

Fuchs re-runs the old wheels in batches. It's been their habit to do runs without prior notification.

As an old girlfriend used to say it's "Moscow shopping rules." If you find one, don't hold out for two. Buy what you can, when you can.

I have a set of Magro reconditioned 911 offset 7s/8s x 16 on my '78 SC and I love them. I've spaced the rears (8x16) out 10mm to the edge (and had to roll the fenders) and they look awesome.

I've heard more of people doing 7s / 9s, but really I love my 7s and 8s on my SC.

Here are few pics of my Magro reconditioned 7/8x16s on a '78 SC (not that 8s are easier to find..):

What size tires there? Looks really great. Any spacers or rubbing?
