Passenger Door Jam Sticker 87 Carrera

Can someone tell me what is supposed to be in this location on the passenger side door jam? I just have sticker residue but do not know what was there? 1987 Carrera Coupe

Yea, I bet that was something the dealer or some repair shop put on there. I don't think it is factory.

Whatever it said, Porsche didn't worry about it lasting 30 years! This is on our 86 and it's also unreadable.

That sticker appears on late 80's through the '98 993's. It is a kind of fibrous white paper.

When they are new they display a bar code. I have seen several in near pristine condition on low mileage customer cars.

They generally seem to degrade from getting wet and then dried off/rubbed during car wash cycles.

Best I can tell it was likely some kind of dealer/shipping inventory tag.

It's a portion of the VIN on mine.
